I am a feltmaker/artist/craftsperson - I live in Brigg, Nth Lincolnshire and work from home.

In 2004 I started feltmaking after attending a night class run by a local arts group, which prompted me to buy some books & wool & from there I taught myself the basics.

I now run my own home-business, which is in its 5th year... displaying my work locally and at craft fairs/markets/ events/shows and festivals, holding taster sessions/ workshops/demonstrations for adults and/or children & also giving craft sessions at kids parties.

I also work in schools & groups, making eco-friendlyjewellery & other items, such as milk-bottle elephants & greetings cards, using recycled materials plus felting workshops at after school classes or full day sessions.

Love of the sea & long walks on the beach inspired me to make felt pictures & hangings framed with driftwood which is collected on the banks of the Humber & also up at Robin Hoods Bay, where some of my work has been on sale in the past & I hope may be again.

I also make button & paper jewellery & other recycled items such as vinyl record clocks, bowls & cake stands,

which began when I decided to make a necklace from a favourite button and I went on from there to make a range of earrings, bracelets, necklaces and brooches from old buttons....& from there to use even more recycled stuff..... I also incorporate pieces of old or broken jewellery into my felt flowers and other felt items, to give them a new lease of life.

I love what I do; feltmaking, for me, is the ideal medium to work with and gives so much scope for the imagination. A tradional craft based on very simple, age-old technique which can be used to produce a wide range of original, unique items.

I meet lovely people, all the time, many of whom become good friends & enjoy travelling to different places.

Life is never dull :)
